Cute, Funny & Wierd things

So I just wanted to share some of the cute, fun & wierd things the boy's have been up to.
McKendrick-
The other night we played the game clue with McKendrick & Gavin and after the game & for all of last week McKendrick was scared every night that someone was going to come murder him. McKendrick also finally has a loose tooth. He won't wiggle it though because he doesn't want it to fall out- funny kid. McKendrick is all about appearance, he has to have his hair done every day before school (we didn't have time one morning (& it looked fine by the way it was just flat) but he informed me when he got home from school that he wet it down in the bathroom at school and made it look ok). Last night Liz came down to the hospital to watch him & Ryston & she said McKendrick was sooooo tired (because we didn't get out of there till 11:00 p.m.) but he wouldn't lay down on her lap because he was worried that the people waiting would see him. He is such a funny kid & I don't know what I would do without him. Just some stats cuz I measured him the other day for B-ball, he is 48 inches tall and weighs about 48lbs.
Parker-
Parker is starting to say some of the funniest things & apparently I say them alot too. So the other day McKendrick was bothering him & he yelled "I'm not in the mood Kennick" , which McKendrick informs me I say quite frequently after I have worked all night & am tired. He also got mad at me the other day sat on the floor, crossed his arm's & said "It's not pair(fair)" He also can't say the sound f or v so food sound like "pood" and he call's Veronica (Isaac's feonce) Beronica. He is such a wild child but we love having him around, there is definitely never a dull moment at our house. Parker is 39" tall & weighs 38 lbs.

3 months-
Ryston turned 3 months old yesterday on January 30, I weighed Ryston yesterday and he was 12 lbs 3 oz. I can't believe how fast time goes by. He isn't very big, just average but thats ok with me because thats less weight I have to pack around. He is such a good baby and is actually starting to smile alot more, I just can't catch it on the camera. He eats about every 4 hours and on most nights sleeps from 9-8 with one feeding during the night (which is good for mom & dad when I work). He does have the occasional night usually 1-2 times a week where he sleeps all night. He is such a joy to have as a part of our family.
3 stitches
Yesterday January 30th we were at my sister's house playing games and just as we were getting ready to go Parker was playing around, standing on a toy with wheels, and it rolled back and Parker fell forward right on the corner of the dryer. So off to the E.R. we went to get stitches (3 of them to be exact). He was really good and if it was up to him a bandaid would have made it all better, but I didn't want him to have a big scar so we took him to get stitches, & in about 1 week Parker will be 3 years old. Can't believe how fast time goes by.

SNOW DAY!

I can't remember the last time we had this much snow let alone when it all came at once. We got about 19inches over night and it snowed most of the day today. Thankfully it did stop or i might be snowed in for a while.

McKendrick actually went to school this morning but alot of kids didn't go and some of the buses got stuck. Needless to say school was canceled and he was home by 11. He thought it was pretty cool that only 5 kids in the whole first grade showed up & they got to drink chocolate milk and watch movies.

The boys had a ton of fun playing in it and helping me build a "no man" as Parker says.

Parker said "mom help me I'm tuck"

SANTA CLAUS

Last monday December 13, we went to see Santa at the Roosevelt City Police Dept. christmas party. It was fun. Parker was very excited all day to see santa, but was a little suspicious once he got close to him. McKendrick was also excited to tell santa that he wanted a dirt bike for christmas. Ryston loved santa, well he really doesn't care who is holding him just as long as he is being held. Anyway they all liked santa and we are all excited for him to come in 4 days!

Ryston's Blessing

Ryston was blessed on December 12, 2010 by his daddy Morant. It was a wonderful blessing. After his blessing we had a little brunch. Thanks for all the help of my father-in-law for cooking so much meat & the eggs. & thanks to all those who came and helped make the day special for Ryston & us.(even though Ryston won't remember).

One Month

Well I can't believe it has been 1 month already since Ryston was born. Time fly's and I am soooo NOT ready to go back to work. I know I have another month but it goes by way to fast and I dont want to have to leave my kids again. Ryston is getting so big, I cant believe how fast they grow. Seems like you forget alot in between each child.
So here are some memories of his first month. He eats about every 2-3 hours. Sleeps most of the time in between. I love when he is sleeping and he gives me the cutest smiles, makes me wonder what he is dreaming about. Ryston is such a good baby, I am just so blessed to have him in my life. Enjoy some pics.

Introducing Ryston E. Harrison

Ryston E. Harrison was welcomed into this world on October 30, 2010 at 6:26 a.m. weighing in at 7lbs. 1 oz. and 19.5 inches long. I am so glad he is finally here.

This is kinda a long post but here is how it all went down.

I went into the docotor the morning of the 29th, I was still dilated to a 2 and he didn't seem like he was convinced that I was going to do anything so we talked about how far I could actually go over my due date ( I was only willing to go a week past, thankfully that didn't happen.) Anyway I asked for him to strip my membranes hoping that it would do something. I went home and went about my day.
I had contractions throughout most of my pregnancy but they never really hurt and weren't regular. So about 6 o'clock I was havng contractions while making dinner, they didn't really hurt but they just kept coming. Morant left to work around 6:30 and about then I decided I would start timing them. The contractions were coming every 3-4 min but I thought I would wait it out. I watched a movie with the boys, McKendrick did his nightly reading and then at about 8:30 they went to bed. The contractions were starting to hurt a little more but I didn't want to go to the hospital yet because I didn't want to get sent home and have my co-workers think I was dumb for coming in. So I cleaned up the kitchen a little bit and tried to watch a movie. I even rented the thing off Dish network. Needless to say I couldn't concentrate very well on the movie. At about 10:00 I decided I would take a bath and try to relax. After I got out of the bath I decided I probably needed to go in so I finished packing my bag, called Morant, loaded up the boys and headed to the hospital. I dropped the boys off at my mother and father in-law's & went to the hospital.
When I got to the hospital around 11:00 they checked me in. The nurse checked me & told me I was dilated to about a 4 and that this was probably the real deal. YAY!! I called Morant, told him this was the real thing, the nurse started my I.V. we did the paperwork and was ready for a baby to be born.
I was hoping to go without an epidural this time around since I did with Parker (not by choice, but I felt soooo much better afterward) but I guess I just got worried once the pain got worse that I would want one & not be able to get one in time so I jumped on the first chance they gave me and got the epidural. (Which now I regret because it wasn't working completely anyway).
Around 2 am the nurse checked me and I was an 8, she thought my water would be breaking at anytime, which didn't happen. Around 5:30 I called the nurse because I was hurting so bad, despite the epidural, she said I was still dilated to about an 8-8.5. She called my doctor to come break my water. He got there about 6am, broke my water and at 6:26 with one push and contraction Ryston was born. All in all it was a good delivery glad it is over but thankful it was quite uneventful.

Proud big brothers Parker held him for about a minute and said"He's fat", and pushed him off.

McKendrick was happy his brother was finally here. Proud Daddy
